"Mental Anomaly" Original and DJ Amethyst Remix
"Mental
Anomaly" in true Secret style is a brilliantly masterminded
piece of Trance. The lads along with maestro Alien Jim,
have come up with something quite fresh and original. Their
use of the unusual, (as per usual!), is very notable here,
with the kick, bass and snare hits all being powerful, tough
and uncompromising, but at the same time completely different,
forming a rock-hard foundation for this tune. If you add
HUGE synths, a massive breakdown, awesome build-up with
"out there" vocal sample, you will have all the
ingredients for a dance floor monster, which should leave
you and your crowd breathless and gasping for the nearest
water bottle!
If originality along with some familiarity is what you're
looking for, then look no further! The Secret are supreme
masters and they've somehow managed to cram it all into
this piece of wax!
This release will further enhance the enviable status and
respect The Secret have already gained on the Trance scene,
but also wake us all up to the brilliant Alien Jim. There
is an awesome writing talent at the heart of this man, and
we are delighted to have given him this platform to demonstrate.

Hinotori's own DJ Amethyst gets to work on the remix, which
whooshes along at a lovely 155 bpm, and features some of
the sweetest melodies to yet emerge from his warped mind!
With all the usual Hinotori trademarks in effect and with
such a great tune to work from, he couldn't go wrong could
he! Touching on classical influences, this remix romps along
with some bouncy 303 mayhem, a mighty kick drum, driving
bass, and of course, the now highly distinctive JP-8000
